Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge and help connect them to the appropriate care.
After completion of the training and the post-survey, participants will be entered into a drawing for one of five $10 Amazon gift cards and one $35 Amazon gift card. Gift cards will be emailed to the winners.The instructor-led portion of this training will be at UCO's Nigh University Center Room 202 in Edmond on
Friday, March 29th, from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, located at 100 N. University Dr, Edmond OK 73034.
Prior to the in-person training portion, participants will need to
complete a 2-hour pre-work in the online MHFA Connect portal.
Pre-work access will be sent out within 24-48 hours of registration, and will need to be completed by Thursday, March 28th at 11:55 PM.
Registration for this course closes on Wednesday, March 27th at 11:55 PM. The course max is 30 participants, additional registrants will be placed on a waitlist.
