Welcome to the Copper Harbor Trails Club's ArtBike Auction! Each summer we work with over a dozen talented artists to create trail-themed art pieces to support our system.  These are sold as 13"x19" limited edition, high-quality prints.  We also print a single large format version of each, mounted on wood for permanent placement in your home or business.  These are SHARP and one-of-a-kind!  We auction off the large versions throughout the summer, wrapping up over Labor Day weekend.

Our auction historically took place in person, but in 2022 we added the ability to bid online in between the in-person opportunities.  Here's how it works:

1. Check out all of our 2022 ArtBike posters below or on our website, https://copperharbortrails.org/2022-artbike-posters
2. Select the large format poster you wish to bid on from the drop down below.
3. Enter your bid amount.
4. Fill out the remaining information so that we can contact if you win.
5. Submit your bid and enter to win another!

Bids are due by August 31st, 2022 at midnight! After that date, we will take the highest bid from this online form and set that as the starting bid for the remainder of the auction.  The final opportunity to bid will be at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge Copper Harbor Trails Fest, which takes place September 3-4, 2022 in Copper Harbor.  If your bid survives the weekend, you win!  We will contact you via your information entered below for payment and pickup.  Shipping will not be available.

NOTE: The Summer School piece is smaller than the rest.  This is because we are auctioning off the ORIGINAL piece!  Alyssa generously donated the original wooden version she assembled, carved, and stained to look like a student's desk.  It is ready to display as-is and is truly a unique piece of trail art.


Q&A:

How was the minimum bid set?
--The auction opened over Memorial Day weekend at our Ride the Keweenaw event.  Bidders placed their bids in person, and we took the highest bid from this event and set it as our minimum amount to beat.  If no bids are placed online for a particular piece, we will keep the previous highest bid going into Trails Fest.

How do I win?  
--Bid high now and scare off the competition!  We cannot guarantee your bid will stand through Trails Fest weekend, so bid high now if you want the best chance of winning.

What if I win but I am not available over Trails Fest to pick it up?  
--We will hold on to it here in the Keweenaw and can coordinate a pick up at a later date.

Can I bid on more than one poster?
--Absolutely!  Feel free to enter as many bids as you'd like on as many posters as you want.  We will accept your LAST bid placed on a poster in case you want to bump up your bid.

Are bids a secret?
--At this point, yes.  Through the summer this is a sealed bid auction, where everyone's bids are a mystery.  On September 1st, we will take the highest bid for each poster and set that as the starting bid for our final weekend.  At that point it will operate more like a normal silent auction where bids are public.

How high do the big posters usually sell for?
--In the past most of these large prints have sold for between $250-$500, although highly sought after pieces can go for much more than that.

What type of payment do you accept?
--We can take cash, credit, PayPal, or check.  Payment is due at pick up.

Am I required to pay a deposit to bid?
--Nope! We will follow up with you if you are the winning bidder later.  If the highest bidder backs out, we will contact the next highest bidder to see if they are still interested.

Who gets the proceeds?  
--ArtBike is a fundraiser for the Copper Harbor Trails Club and the proceeds go right back into supporting our epic trail system.  Your payment is not tax deductible.

What if I only want the small version?
--The limited edition small posters are still just $25 and are available at in-person events this summer.  Leftovers will be sold online later in the fall/winter.
