Monday Clay Club - Registration
Thank you for your interest in Clay Club! This series of after school classes offers students a chance to learn to create decorative and functional pottery in the form of plates, cups, planters, or other useful ceramics. Students will be guided through specific projects using demos, instruction, and templates (as needed), and will be taught building techniques like pinching, coil-building and slab building. Students will also get to glaze their own work.

The goal of this class, first and foremost, is to let the children have fun and enjoy the art and science of pottery. The class will focus on helping the children build fun, usable pottery, and develop their creativity in design and sculpture. 

For your convenience, Clay Club is divided into two blocks giving you the flexibility to sign up for 7 classes or 14 classes. 

What's included?
The class fee includes all materials for the class including clay, tools, work boards, kiln firings, as well as a wide selection of glazes that the students will choose and use for glazing. Each block will include all the kiln firings required to result in two completed pieces created by the children (1 bisque firing and 1 glaze firing, per piece). 

Registration Fees: 
 - Block 1 - 7 Classes for €140
 - Block 1 & 2 - 14 Classes for €280

You can send the fee to ZM Isaac at account number NL91 ABNA 0857 4018 07.  It will be great if you can do this right after you register for the class, but at the latest, please send payment in by January 31st.

Class Dates: 
Block 1: 
    - February 6, 13, 27, and March 6, 13, 20, 27 (There will be no class on February 20th during ASH February Break)
Block 2: 
    - April 3, 17, 24, and May 1, 8, 15, 22 (There will be no class on April 10th during ASH Spring Break)

Why can't you sign up for just the 2nd block?
My goal with clay club is to progressively help the students learn new techniques and skills in the pottery that they build, improving their fine motor skills as they go. Students will start with simple projects that teach them basic techniques and build on those skills. 
Note:  If there are open spots at the beginning of Block 2, I will open up registration again, but at this point I would like to offer the two adjacent blocks to allow this gradual development.

Timing
Classes will be held from 4:00pm-5:15pm on Monday beginning on February 6th, 2023.

Location and Pick-up Address: 
ABF, 1 Ammonslaantje, 2241 BP Wassenaar. 
(An adult will help the students gather in the UE playground at 3:45pm and walk them over to the ABF after school is out.)
