Thank you for your interest in being a collaborating organization with the Growing Together initiative.
The Good Food Network is a network of organizations from across the Victoria capital region - Coast Salish territories. We wanted to come together to discuss how best to support our communities in these unprecedented times. Growing Together is an initiative with the vision of supporting residents across the region to grow food. Growing Together is also about community coming together to grow food and provide resources (respecting health officials guidelines and protocols) to support folks who can’t grow their food or need greater access to fresh foods.
Our goal: to motivate and enable people across the CRD to grow as much food as possible over the next six months
The partners will participate in some, many or all of the following activities:
- Collaborate: to work together and amplify efforts
- Communicate: to inspire and link people to resources available
- Educate: to ensure people are successful in their growing efforts
- Enable: support people to garden by providing resources
- Encourage more food to be grown and shared by community projects
- Promote and support local farmers as the backbone of food provisioning in our community
As a participating member of the campaign you agree to:
- Support the actions listed above within the capacity of your organization
- Determine and communicate how the campaign is aligned with and can support your efforts
- Learn about the Growing Together communications goals follow communications protocols
- (Potentially) join one of the Growing Together Working Groups (education, mentorship, etc.)
- (Potentially) help with tracking and evaluation of initiative impacts
- (Potentially) provide resources or expertise to the initiative
