CTMS Forensics
Dear Parent/Guardian and Student,

Welcome to the Chinook Trail Middle School Forensics Team! We are happy that you are interested in becoming involved with this team of competitive orators. We look forward to a prosperous season of introspection, debate, critical analysis, storytelling, drama, and humor.

The Forensics Team is designed to give students the practice and outlet for verbal expression. By joining this team, students will learn public speaking skills, critical thinking skills, how to analyze a piece of writing (poetry, literary texts, news periodicals, etc.), how to think quickly and organize an argument within a finite amount of time, and appropriate manners and etiquette for both performing and listening to speeches.

Forensics teams from all over the Pikes Peak region compete at four tournaments each season in twelve different events. This year, our meets will be as follows (all dates are Saturdays):

December 14th at Woodland Park Middle School
January 25th at Lewis-Palmer Middle School
February 8th at Monument Academy
February 22nd at Timberview Middle School.

*Transportation to and from events is not provided by the school.

If your child would like to participate in Forensics, please complete this form by October 16th.  Thank you!
