Wayne State Nu Rho Psi is excited to relaunch its peer-mentorship program this semester. As part of this program, underclassmen mentees will be paired with upperclassmen mentors who will help provide guidance and advice through personalized mentoring via specially-designed curriculums, monthly check-ups and group-attendance of Nu Rho Psi events. Faculty, graduate and medical students will also have the opportunity to help guide mentors and mentees as advisors by providing lessons or information on topics they see fit.

Here are the requirements for the program:

- MENTEES are expected to respond and communicate with mentors when they have questions about school, extracurriculars, research etc. Mentees are also expected to attend monthly check-ups with their mentors through the mode of communication they decide on (WhatsApp, email etc.). Mentees are also expected to attend at least ONE Nu Rho Psi event per semester with their mentor and then discuss and reflect on the event they attended that month via a Google form.

- MENTORS are expected to communicate at least once a month with mentees through the mode of communication they decide on (WhatsApp, email etc.). During these monthly check-ups, mentors can go over topics they see fit such as schedule planning, study habits, extracurriculars and more. Mentors are also expected to attend at least ONE Nu Rho Psi event per semester with their mentees and then discuss and reflect on the event they attended that month via a Google form.

- ADVISORS are expected to serve as mentors for both mentors and mentees although they do not have the strict monthly meeting and reflection requirements. They will mostly serve as guides on different matters such as admissions, research, career development and more.
