Firstly I would like to thank you for taking the time to register your child for this Talent ID Day. Please ensure you complete all fields in the form, this will allow us to contact yourself and give a fair assessment when they arrive at the Talent ID Day
The aim of the Talent ID Day is to identify players within the local area that may have gone under the radar of the Oxford United FC scouts and coaches as well as offering an opportunity for those players who are late developers or possibly started football later than most.
The talent ID day will be organised and delivered by Oxfordshire RTC (Regional Talent Centre) which is managed by Oxford United Head of Recruitment, Gareth Hamer. The RTC is a chance for players to bridge the gap between grassroots and academies and play in the competitive Saturday Junior Premier League. For more details see our website:
https://www.juniorpremierleague.com/regional-talent-centres/The players will all get the chance to perform in-front of Oxford United FC coaches and scouts, as well as gaining football coaching from the qualified JPL staff, and most importantly having fun!
Following the day there will be 3 outcomes:
- Recommended to Oxford United Academy
- Recommended to Oxfordshire RTC squads for additional training and games
- Continue training with local grassroots teams
The Talent ID Days will be split in to two days:
Tuesday 28th May: U6 / U8 (9:30am - 12:30pm)
Tuesday 28th May: U7 / U9 (1:30pm - 4:30pm)
Friday 31st May: U10 / U11 / U12 (9:30am - 12:30pm)
All held at the Oxford United Training Ground, Horspath Road, OX4 2RR
