In the fall of 2021, Pope Francis launched a two-year process called the synod in his efforts to reform the Catholic Church in accordance with the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. The synod is designed to involve all Catholics — clergy, religious and lay Catholics — through the process of "listening and discernment" in shaping pastoral priorities in the future. Catholics all over the Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens are asked to voice their ideas and share their feedback as members of our local church for the 2021-2023 synod.
