This is the form to nominate for named positions for the NEC, for the eight ordinary positions and for the Labour Briefing Editorial Board. You can nominate other people as well as yourself but please make sure you have their agreement first.

If nominating yourself for a position please provide a personal statement of not more than 100 words. If you are nominating yourself for more than one position please fill out this form  once for each position being applied for and provide a personal statement of not more than 100 words at the end of each form.

At least four of those elected to the following posts: Chair, 2 Vice Chairs, Treasurer, Political Secretary, Membership Secretary, Web Manager, Administrative Secretary should identify as female.

The NEC pre-pandemic met roughly every six weeks - with alternate meetings taking place outside London, in different parts of Britain. Fares were paid by the organisation. The NEC currently meets on zoom.

We expect those standing for the NEC to be committed to attending the majority of meetings, to carry out the specific role to which they are elected and additionally to take on other responsibilities in order to build a collective team.
