A QUICK NOTE ABOUT THE GROUP
We created this homeschool group back in 2019 because we couldn’t find any other homeschool support in our local area and wanted to see if there were possibly any other homeschoolers out there. We figured that if we didn’t know anyone, there were probably other families out there that might also be looking for other families to connect with. We are so happy to see that there are so many fellow homeschoolers out there and we thought it would be a good time to make this a more formal group in the sense of knowing the people involved.

We wanted to offer a little more structure/direction and remind every member that this group is what we all make it. It is not our intention for anyone to feel obligated to take on anything that will be a burden as far as planning/organizing, etc. We want every member to have the freedom to post, share, plan, or organize activities, small groups, events, field trips, that they are interested in or passionate about, that works for their family. We are excited to see families already contributing their time and energy to the growth of this group and homeschool community. Everyone is encouraged to be as involved or uninvolved as they wish and we understand we all go through different life seasons and not everything appeals to all families and ages. 

Also, this is not a mom's group; we have many dads in the group that homeschool their children and this group is for the whole family.
