Ujima Girls in Robotics Leadership Summer Camp Student Application
Natomas Unified School District, in collaboration with UC Davis will be host the Ujima Girls in Robotics Camp (Ujima GIRL) this Summer. The Ujima GIRL project aims to increase the representation of African American/Black girls and women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This week- long coding and robotics program includes hands on projects, cultural activities and community building. Participation is recognized as an approved Educational Preparation Program on the UC undergraduate admissions application.

  • Jefferson School, 2001 Pebblewood Drive, Sacramento, CA 95833
Eligibility & Attendance Requirements
  • Campers must attend all five days of camp from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • This application is for students who will be enrolled in Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) as of August 2025.
Camp Dates & Grade Levels
  • Ujima GIRL+ Camp (Incoming 9th - 12th graders) - Monday, June 2 – Friday, June 6
  • Ujima GIRL Camp (Incoming 6th - 8th graders) - Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 13
