Bernice (Bea) Ihlenfeld Music and Scholarship Funding Application
Applicants must be a member of St. John Lutheran Church. For scholarships, priority is given to those requesting assistance for church-based or other faith-based activities. As the Asleson Scholarship Fund is available to students attending ELCA colleges, this scholarship will not be granted for college tuition at an ELCA college. However, you may request an Ihlenfeld scholarship for attending an ELCA seminary.

Funds are dispersed to the Foundation in December of each year. Funding requests should be submitted prior to that meeting and will be considered until that year’s funds are depleted.

If the request is for music ministries, please briefly describe what the funds will be used for, including timelines and who at St. John will be impacted by or involved in the project.
If the request is for a scholarship, identify the activity the scholarship is used for, the person/people who will receive the scholarship(s), and the total cost of the activity per person.
