Chisago County Junior Fair Board Application
 If you are an outgoing teenager with an active interest in community involvement and take a special pride in the Chisago County Fair or a youth looking to complete some community service hours while gaining leadership, then we are looking for you!  

Applications are now being accepted for membership for the Chisago County Fair Junior Fair Board.

The requirements are simple – You must be willing to promote the fair in a positive manner.  Be able to fill a year commitment, although most projects will be from May – July and abide by the rules and responsibilities set forth by the Chisago County Fairboard.   Applicants DO NOT need to be members of 4-H or FFA.  

The activities of the Junior Fair Board are varied and often time-consuming, but a wonderful way to meet new friends while becoming involved with the community and learn about the fair industry. Beginning this spring, you will join with the other fairboard members making preparations for the upcoming county fair.   Work nights are usually the last Monday of the month along with a few other nights as the fair gets closer.  You are welcome to attend the fairboard meetings, on the last Monday of the month as observers to learn the behind the scenes and what goes in to planning the county fair. During the fair, you can be part of many different activities that suit your interests including but not limited to social media, photography, open class exhibit building, grandstand events, pork burger stand and any other opportunities that come available.

Accomplish goals and strengthen work ethic.
Learn to plan, prepare and carry out ideas.
Strengthen communications skills.

Have a "voice" and "ownership" in the Fair

Selected individuals will serve a one year term through March 31, 2024 .  Junior Fairboard members will be announced on our FB page.
