Somerset FA New Team Fund 2024/25

Somerset FA has a limited number of grants available to support the creation of NEW teams for season 2024/2025. The grant will cover all age groups and all formats of football in the county.
Grants of up to £150 will be available to those clubs/teams that are successful.
SFA will consider applications for new teams in the following categories:
• Mini Soccer (U7's-10s)
• Youth male & female teams (U11-18s)
• Adult male & female teams (including Over 35's teams/Walking Football teams)
• Male & female disability teams (Youth and Adult)

PLEASE NOTE THAT PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO FEMALE AND DISABILITY TEAMS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE IF WE ARE OVERSUBCRIBED WITH APPLICATIONS.

Please note - All applications for funding must be made by the club secretary. We can only offer grants to BRAND NEW teams setting up and affiliating for the first time. We are unable to offer funding for a team simply moving up an age group for the new season (For example, an U14 team last season, now becoming an U15 or U16 team for the new season).
Clubs that have been awarded new team funding from Somerset FA within the last 2 seasons, may not be successful in obtaining funding, depending on the number of applications we receive.

- Club discipline will be looked at when decisions are made around funding. This includes players, coaches and spectators.

- ANY MONIES AWARDED WILL BE RECALLED IF A TEAM ARE FOUND GUILTY OF ANY E20 OR E21 DISCIPLINARY CHARGES DURING THE 24/25 SEASON (E20 & E21 RELATE TO COACH AND SPECTATOR DISCIPLINE).
