Join us at Vanderbilt University Library Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) Cultural Heritage Preservation Summit on July 19 and 20.

This event consists of four separate sessions over two days. They are following. First, there is a keynote talk examining the scholarly value of radio broadcast recordings from the Voice of America program Music Time in Africa. Next, there is the opportunity to have a one-to-one consultation with Paul Conway, an expert in audio-visual preservation, digitization, and archival practice. Third, these is an Open Dialogue on topics in the field of digital preservation with Tim Gollins, Director of SCUA and Paul Conway, University of Michigan School of Information, Associate Professor Emeritus. Fourth, there is a seminar-workshop on audio-visual heritage preservation and access; five presenters will outline case studies on the theme of mitigating risk in different facets of digital preservation.
