GENERAL PUBLIC OPEN CALL FOR YOUR PHOTOS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRST TORONTO PRIDE EXHIBITION AND PUBLICATION. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO SUBMIT.
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the ArQuives, which is the largest independent LGBTQ2+ archive in the world and the only one in Canada. To commemorate this important milestone, the Magenta Foundation is partnering with the ArQuives on a groundbreaking exhibition and catalogue revealing the history of Toronto Pride and we need your help! How have you captured Pride over the years?
Want to be part of Joy. Sorrow. Anger. Love. Pride. and celebrate 50 years of the ArQuives? The Magenta Foundation is calling on the public to share your Toronto Pride memories with us!
Whether you are a professional photographer or everyday pride advocate with a camera, we are interested in exhibiting and publishing your work! In order for us to capture the celebration of PRIDE and bring the best exhibition and publication to life, we want to include all for you! The tried and true participants of PRIDE to join us as we create this iconic project.
Please note that we are only accepting submissions related to Toronto Pride from 1970 to the Present Day. The catalogue launch and exhibition will close the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival June 1, 2023.
We encourage Black, Indigenous, or Person of Colour (BIPOC) photographers to submit their photos. Pride is for, and about, everyone who identifies as LGBTQ2+ and this project’s aim is to present a multitude of experiences from across our many communities.

- Church Street parties
- Drag performances
- Pride Events
