-----About the committees-----

Trails — This committee meets monthly to prioritize routine maintenance and plan big projects, including new trails and improvements to existing ones. Members may lead projects ranging from reroutes to new signs.
 

Fundraising/Events — Often called a “development” committee, this group works on everything related to fundraising and community building. That includes coordinating SMT’s annual member party, recruiting business sponsors, and planning events like the Banana Belt mountain bike race and Salida Bike Fest. Committee members meet as necessary, and work on projects of their choosing.
