The Maine Deaf Film Festival is accepting entries for a future Maine Deaf Film Festival.

Maine Deaf Film Festival (www.mainedeaffilmfest.com) is devoted to showcasing the work of independent film and video artists. We are looking for work that exhibits exceptional artistry, insight, and innovation in all categories and genres. All lengths and genres are accepted for possible consideration, including experimental, animation, documentary, public service announcements, narrative, or student films. Captions are required. Please complete an entry form for each film submitted.

Your film will be considered for possible inclusion in the Maine Deaf Film Festival if it meets one or more of the following criteria:

The film is made by a deaf or hard of hearing filmmaker;
                    AND/OR
The film must feature at least one deaf character;
                    AND/OR
The film is about the Deaf experience.

The Deaf Film Festival Screening Committee will determine which of the entries meeting any of the above criteria will be included in the Festival.

Prescreening Rules: Entries are accepted either by DVD or through a posting on the internet. Please include your internet address on the application if the film being submitted is posted on-line.

Please note: Region-free DVDs (NTSC) are preferred for prescreening purposes. NTSC is the standard US format. If it is being sent in a different format (such as PAL), be sure to make a mention of that. DVDs must be labeled with film title, filmmaker's name, videophone number and email address.
