Massachusetts Hunger Free Campus Coalition - Sign On
The Massachusetts Hunger Free Campus Coalition was formed in the fall of 2019 to address food insecurity on college campuses.

Our Core Principles include the following:
     1) Focus on food security among high-need populations enrolled in MA public colleges, universities, and community colleges.
     2) Leverage and expand existing resources and services including maximizing student eligibility and enrollment/outreach to federal nutrition benefits (SNAP, WIC); exploring/supporting “meal swipe” options with campus food vendors, ensuring campuses work with MA food banks to establish/expand food pantries (e.g. don’t reinvent the wheel).
     3) Ensure equity and student voices – students with lived experiences have a seat at the table and participate in Campus Hunger Free Coalition.

By signing on to the Coalition, you are committing to addressing food insecurity on campuses. Please let us know how active you and your organization can be in this effort.

If you have any questions, please contact Dan McCarthy, The Greater Boston Food Bank, at dmccarthy@gbfb.org, Gina Plata-Nino, Central West Justice Center, at gplatanino@cwjustice.org, and/or Laura Sylvester, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, at lauras@foodbankwma.org.
