Greenwood Film Festival utilizes film to showcase pioneers of today, by unearthing lessons from the past to inspire solidarity for our future. The festival invites students to experience a shared space of ideas, giving way for creative minds to flow freely.
The enduring legacy of Black Wall Street serves as a launch pad for visionaries and innovators, alike, to build relationships that strengthen our community for generations to come. Likewise, the festival will sow into a growing film community of color in Tulsa by featuring filmmakers and artists whose messages reverberate throughout the community at large.
During this festival, students will have the opportunity to learn from industry pros about directing, writing and cinematography. More information about those classes can be seen here
https://greenwoodfilmfestival.com Students will also have a chance to be part of hot topics like how Hollywood effects the black community, and how to own our content and be profitable. We look forward to seeing you there!
