Annual April Wildflower Walks
Wednesdays | 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
April 24

Meet at the Frances Plecker Education Center

Join us for an educational stroll with the Volunteer Coordinator for the Central Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners, Keala Timko, during this exciting and beautiful time of year. On this talk you will learn about various spring ephemerals and where to locate them in the Arboretum! The first flush of color shown in the arboretum woods include: Bloodroot, Dutchman’s Breeches, Bluebells, Woodland Phlox, Spring Beauty, Trillium, Wild Ginger, Troutlily and Dwarf Larkspur. We love these wondrous wildflowers as they are the first pollinators for insects.
