Gain Grow Retain Diversity Equity and Inclusion Survey
Gain, Grow, Retain is committed to being a community that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion for its members and provides resources for customer success professionals within their organizations. The purpose of this survey is to understand and establish a baseline of our membership. Through this survey, we will gain information to further our DEI initiatives.
What is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?
Diversity is about facts. It is all the ways in which people differ. While diversity is often used in reference to race, ethnicity, and gender, we embrace a broader definition of diversity that also includes age, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, and education. Our definition also includes diversity of thought: ideas, perspectives, and values. We also recognize that individuals affiliate with multiple identities.
Equity is about processes and systems. Equity demands the fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all people, while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups. Improving equity involves increasing fairness within the procedures and processes, as well as how we distribute resources.
Inclusion is about our behavior. When we are inclusive, we have created a workplace where thoughts, ideas and perspectives of all individuals matter and where collective knowledge, skills and talents are used to achieve business objectives.
In this survey, we ask you to self-identify in ways that you are comfortable. While we will ask demographic data, we will not ask your name, your company, or your role. Participation is voluntary. We will also ask questions about Inclusion (on a scale of Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree), as well as open ended questions. Providing this feedback is key in ensuring we have the right focus on upcoming Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
