Makers Market at Camp Bestival 2023

We are delighted to be back hosting the Makers Market at Camp Bestival Dorset and Shropshire this year - each event has a 10,000 adult capacity and 10,000 child capacity.

MAKERS POP UP
We're building on what we created last year + curating a beautifully decorated marquee with Makers of brilliant handmade work alongside pop up coffee shop, DJ's, vintage + retro, second hand vinyl + drop in craft workshops.

Our pop up market will have a destination feel to it, so festival goers will want to return daily to enjoy an inclusive atmosphere with friendly, creative vibes for all! Think festoon lighting, gorgeous decorations and an array of furniture. No need to worry about pop up gazebos and crazy weather. We'll all be undercover in the one space and will be looking out for everyone so you have a great mix of good business, friendly neighbours and fun times!


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Amazing indie brands who create the best handmade work in the UK including illustrations, jewellery, clothing, homewares, beauty products, pottery and children's brands alongside vintage and retro sellers.

Makers stalls trade 10am - 7pm each day so loads of time to enjoy the festival too!


PITCH SIZE 
The pitch size is 6 foot wide x 2 foot deep to fit a standard 6 foot table, we're happy for you to share a pitch.
The pitch cost includes camping for 2 x adult tickets, 2 x child/youth tickets and 1 x carparking pass plus coffee discount.
You'll have access to power to charge payment systems/phones etc.
You'll need your own public liability insurance for £5 million - we have an insurance discount code if needed, making one year's cover £35.

COSTS
To trade it is £495 (+VAT) plus 10% NET + VAT commission on sales and 1.5% card machine fee.
Would you like to offer workshops + trade? To run workshops and trade it is £295, see below in 'WORKSHOP' section for more info.

The fee includes your own card payment eftpos system + fees which Camp Bestival provide to all traders onsite. Funds are then transferred to your account after each festival.

Trading hours are 10am to 7pm each day, Thursday to Sunday. Thursday will be a lunchtime start and a later end, probably midday to 7.30pm/8pm
Please note: Camp Bestival is a cashless festival and each trader will be provided with their own payment device by the festival.

Set up will be on Wednesday afternoon/eve and Thursday morning.



WORKSHOPS
If you'd like to run a workshop please indicate on the form and we will arrange this separately in our workshop space. If you can offer a free drop in craft workshop for one hour each day we can reduce your pitch fee to £295 saving you £200. We'd love you to use recycled materials in your workshop if possible. 
Limited workshop spaces available so please indicate on the form if you'd like to be considered. 
Workshops don't need to be directly connected to your craft, so if you are a silver jeweller it could be showing how to make simple  beaded  bracelets for one hour each day. 
We want our space to be interactive with lots of different workshops so all ages can join in.


SUSTAINABILITY
We're a Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Champion and run plastic free pop up's.
We ask our Makers to choose compostable packaging/sustainable practices when it is available.

Your space will fit a standard 6 foot x 2 foot trestle table/6 foot rail which you will need to provide. If we can offer you more space we will, this is the minimum. We need to know if you need power if its essential to selling your product. Power will be available to charge phones/payment devices.  Larger pitches will need to be purchased as a double pitch, but you will also gain a further tickets as part of your package.
