In February of 2022, NJIVA surveyed its base of 61 NJ venues to determine the financial state of NJ's venues in 2021 after they were able to reopen, and received an 18% response rate.
In 2021, these venues lost an overall average of 67% of their ticket revenue and 72% of their non-ticket revenue versus 2019. These venues' losses continued in 2021, despite reopening and despite 82% receiving SVOG grants and 45% receiving the NJ Community Stage Grant to offset losses in 2020.
