Aspire to build your artist brand, network with the art industry and learn something new in 2024?
We are excited to launch another venue partnership with Chokmah (pronounce as 'hokmah' - means Divine Wisdom in Hebrew), a modern and sustainable lifestyle brand based at Stamford Arts Centre. It's run by mama artist Joyce, a woman empowerment leader and community builder; as well as the creator of Singapore’s first eco-friendly Jesmonite workshop. For every last Friday, Saturday and Sunday (10:00 am to 10:00 pm) of March, April, May, Aug, Sep and Oct 2024, Mama on Palette will co-create a variety of artistic events with our community members at Chokmah Studio, a 600+ sqf space surrounded by other local creators and within walking distance to Bencoolen and Rochor MRT station, NAFA, Lasalle, SCWO...along the cultural rich Waterloo Street.
We are proposing a list of events including but not limited to:
1 - Quarterly Social Gathering for MOP Members
A casual networking event to welcome our new members, and allow the community to connect with each other in person, with some light drinks and snacks. We will also invite experienced members to share their experiences in various art domains, and facilitate discussions on art, motherhood and mental wellness related topics among members.

Format: Casual Networking; Sharing by Members; Discussion
MOP Members can host their own networking events at the venue too subject to available slots.
2 - Artists to Artpreneurs Masterclasses
Following the success of our very first 'Artists to Artpreneurs' session, we'd like to bring more industrial experts to share actionable insights to build your art career - be it a retail, teaching, creative or in fine art. We will invite renowned veterans to teach the masterclass, followed by a scheme to make participants really 'make the first' step using the knowledge, to an impactful outcome by end of the program. We welcome recommendations by our members and will assess the speaker's profile for an exclusive invitation.

Tentative dates: Last Saturdays of March, August and October 2024
Format: 1-2hr masterclass with successful entrepreneurs in the art field; nominations are welcomed
3 - Art Exhibitions
We provide the space for MOP artists to self-initiate solo and/or group exhibitions. Kindly note artists showcasing in the exhibitions all have to be MOP members. The event has to be co-branded with Chokmah and Mama on Palette, who will support the publicity of the event in return.

Format: Both solo or group exhibition are allowed
Due to space constraint, we'd suggest no more than 5 artists for an exhibition per time.
4 - Pop up Events and Art Workshops
We provide the space for MOP artists to self-initiate pop up events and art workshops, too. Kindly note artists showcasing in the pop-ups and conducting workshops all have to be MOP members. The event has to be co-branded with Chokmah and Mama on Palette, who will support the publicity of the event in return.

Format: Both pop up events and/or art workshops are allowed
High Tables and high chairs are available. Due to space constraint, we'd suggest no more than 8 artists for a pop-up per time, and no more than 35 pax for a workshop per time.
5 - Artist Talks
Artist talks is a new venture that allows MOP artists to share their art experiences, process, techniques and practices, ideas and inspiration, as well as how the story unfolds in the creation of their art. The event will be made open to the public as we hope to provide more awareness and branding opportunities for MOP artists. For artists who want to conduct the talk, we will have further discussions on the topic and content that is to be shared and how it will be appealing to MOP members.

Format: Personal sharing; open to public
Things to Take Note:
- For all events proposals, a minimum notice period of 60 days are required.
- All above events may incur fees for participation/renting the venue however at a very afforable rate for MOP members. Details will be discussed later based on no. of interest/proposals received.
- There is no rental fee for MOP artists to host their own events but with these obligations:
- The event must be cobranded with MOP (community partner) and Chokmah (venue partner)
- All participating artists in your exhibition / pop up have to be MOP members
- We appreciate of a 15% of your revenue income to be donated to MOP to fund our other programs - [Outside MOP special dates] Other weekdays are also available for workshop space rental at $20/hour + 10% of your price per pax. All proceeds go to Chokmah (E.g. if the workshop costs $100/pax, Chokmah takes $10/pax + hourly rental)
- [Outside MOP special dates] For individual artist exhibition, it’s $600 for 3 days rental. 10am-10pm daily.
