We are excited that you want to work downtown at our gift shops! Drift Mercantile is a locally owned retail store, opened in 2017, that specializes in unique and locally inspired and made gifts. Cheddarheads is a connecting gift and Wisconsin souvenir store, opened in 1973, that caters to tourists and locals alike. You are applying to work at both stores, that share the same team of fun and outgoing individuals!

Employment requirements:

- 18 years and older (Accepting applications age 16+ for weekend-only shifts where you will be working with an older staff member as well)
- Weekend availability required
- No prior retail experience required
- Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
- Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders.
- Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service

Job Duties:

- Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
- Responds to customers’ questions.
- Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Cleans and maintains displays, stock and general store
- Working with cash registers and processing payments
