Youth for the Planet (YTP):

The Sustainability and Environmental Justice Program is a new initiative that aims to educate high school students about issues relating to sustainability and environmental justice. The program further aims to equip youth with the tools they need to begin addressing these issues in an effective manner, whether that be through advocating for environment friendly options or generating a small-scale solution to pollution. It may involve utilizing teaching techniques such as experiential learning, guest lecture series, mini case-competitions, field trips, and workshops to familiarize students with the program concepts. The program will run for a couple of sessions throughout the year; it will not be held on a weekly basis for high school students. The program will be jointly monitored and administered by the YE and Sustainability and Environmental Justice (SEJ) portfolio co-leads.
