Fund Development Cohort-Winter 2021 APPLICATION FORM (Due by Nov. 30, 2020)
Hello, and thank you for your interest in expanding your knowledge, network, and reach as a fund development professional through participation in the Fund Development Cohort. This learning opportunity is for you if you have at least five years of experience in fund development, and your organization or practice is headquartered within the ten-county Grand Traverse region (Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, Missaukee, Kalkaska, Antrim, Charlevoix, and Emmet counties).

The Fund Development Cohort was created and is facilitated by advancement professional Beth Stoner Wiegand, who has been in the fundraising industry for more than two decades. It is designed to review, discuss, and apply fundraising fundamentals to existing scenarios and/or situations currently being experienced by your organization. Content will be customized based on the topics most useful to cohort participants, but will include: prospecting, long-term relationship building, solicitations, board engagement, stewardship, communication flow, time management, and writing compelling case statements.

This cohort will benefit most from the input and participation of its members. Attendance at all sessions is required. The cohort will meet once per week, for six weeks:
        Meeting Time: Tuesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Meeting Dates: Beginning January 5, 2021, and every Tuesday thereafter through February 9, 2021
Meeting Location: University Center campus of Northwestern Michigan College (2200 Dendrinos Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686). Class will be held via Livestream if we are unable to hold it in person for any reason.

Registration Fee: $349*
*The cost of this unique learning opportunity has been partially underwritten by Rotary Charities of Traverse City, who care deeply about the continued development of our region’s nonprofit professionals.
