Thank you for your interest in the Future Connections Program, a paid, summer internship program for rising seniors in high school.
In order to apply, you must:
- be a current junior
- have a 2.75 minimum GPA (weighted or unweighted),
- have a 90% attendance record
The Future Connections Program is open to students who attend schools in the following schools and districts:
- Benedictine High School
- Cleveland Central Catholic
- Cleveland Heights/University Heights
- Cleveland Metropolitan (all high schools)
- East Cleveland
- Euclid
- Lawrence Upper School
- Maple Heights
- Warrensville Heights
If you do not see your school district on this list, please contact the Future Connections Program Manager at
futureconnections@universitycircle.org prior to applying.
Students must also receive a recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor or other school official (such as a coach or mentor) and their official transcripts by the application due date An email will be sent to your reference in March. It is your responsibility to inform your reference that you need a recommendation for the program.
Students who participate in Future Connections and complete all program requirements earn a $1,500 stipend (paid in 5 installments every two weeks during the program and one at the end when all materials are turned in) to help cover the costs of participating. Future Connections does not provide transportation or bus tickets and students must secure transportation to and from their assigned placements.
NOTE: Due to hospital restrictions in relationship to the COVID-19 pandemic, Future Connections will not host students in hospitals or health care related internships for the summer of 2022. A variety of biology and science related internships may be available through the program and students with career interests in health care fields are still encouraged to apply.
