Release and Waiver of Liability. Please read this carefully. It is a legal document that affects your legal rights. The Volunteer hereby freely and voluntarily executes this Release under the following terms: Activities. I understand that my activities may include construction of and/or rehabilitating residential buildings, and or other related activities (the "Activities").Safety Rules. I am required to follow all safety rules and procedures established at sites. Release and Waiver. I hereby release, forever discharge and hold harmless FLC, and its successors and assigns, from any and all liability, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature, which arise or may hereafter arise from or in connection with my Activities with FLC or my presence at a FLC site. It is the policy of FLC that children under the age of 16 are not allowed to perform construction on worksites. It is further the policy of FLC that, while minors between the ages of 16 & 18 may be allowed to participate in construction work, using power tools, excavation, demolition, working on rooftops and similar activities are not permitted for anyone under the age of 18. Volunteers of all ages may not be on scaffolding and ladders other than small step ladders, work with large power tools, or work on roofing, electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems. Medical Treatment. I hereby release and forever discharge FLC from any claim whatsoever which arises on account of negligence of FLC, or its officers, directors, employees, other volunteers, agents or otherwise in connection with any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with my Activities with FLC or my presence at a FLC site. Assumption of Risk. I hereby expressly and specifically assume any and all risk associated with my presence at any FLC site and my Activities. Insurance. I understand that I am expected to obtain my own medical, health, disability, and other applicable insurance coverage. Photographic Release. I hereby grant and convey unto FLC all right, title, and interest in any and all such photographic images, video or audio recordings made by FLC during my Activities, including but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings. Other. This Release is intended to be as broad as permitted by Minnesota law. If any clause or provision is held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause of provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release.
