Who can register?
Any incoming students 5-9th grade who have an interest in learning to play the violin, viola, cello, or double bass.

What do I need for the class?
1 - An Instrument - Instruments can be purchased or rented at the local music store.
2 - Method Book for Beginning Orchestra (See Below)
2- Transportation to and from the camp everyday. Parents will provide.
3 - Submit this form
4 - Pay fee before the first day of class.

Beginning Orchestra
5th-9th grade
Monday - Friday
9-9:45 am
Students enrolled have never played a string instrument.  Beginning Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass (Bass - only incoming 7-9th graders).
Book needed before class starts - String Explorer Book 1 (see music store or Amazon)

Advanced Beginners/Intermediate
Monday - Friday
9:45-10:30 am
Students enrolled in the elementary strings program through AFJR or students who have played one year or finished 1st year method instruction.  Intermediate Violin, Viola,  Cello, Bass (Bass - only incoming 7-9th graders).
Book - Music is provided

Chamber Strings
Monday - Friday
10:30-11:15 am
Students who have played 2 full years, going into intermediate or advanced orchestra for the upcoming school year.  Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass (Bass - only incoming 7-9th graders).  .

You may also pay in person at the American Fork Junior High Finance Office thru May 24 (hours 8-3:30 during the school year.  No payments will be taken over the phone.)
