Mapping 2020 -Night of Culture - information about the contest

ublin's Night of Culture is a festival of light installations and shows in the public space. For the past several editions, its programme has also included mapping and in June 2019 we held the first contest. All  submitted projects were screened on the walls of a building in the city centre and the winner took home 5000 pln.  Whether it’s the first time you are hearing about it or regret not submitting last year – now’s your chance!

Practical information, timeline and requirements

Deadline for the Organiser to provide  the grid / matrix of the building: early November 2019
Deadline for submitting projects: 6 May 2020
Contest resolution: Night of Culture 6 June 2020
Building for the mapping: the Palace of the Czartoryski Family in Lublin
Who can submit: The contest is for persons of legal age, both individual artists and groups are welcome.  
Prize: 5000 PLN net


The animation submitted to the contest should be adapted to  the building grid provided by the Organiser. The accepted resolution is 1200x1920 pixels in fullHD, file format: MOV 25 f/s. codec: H264 or dxv. The animation should be between  min. 2 and  max 10 minutes long but the Organisers reserve the right to ask the author to shorten the work  in case of a large number of submissions.

Information concerning the processing of your personal data
1.We hereby inform you that Workshops of Culture in Lublin, with registered office at Grodzka 5a, 20-112 Lublin  are the Controller of the personal data of the participants of the  workshops., hereinafter referred to as a “cultural event”.  
2. Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of organizing the cultural event, statistical purposes and archiving (evidence keeping) for securing information in case a legal need arises to demonstrate facts, which is a legitimate interest of Workshops of Culture (pursuant to art. 6 sec. 1 let. f of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016).
3.  Your personal data will be stored for the period provided for in regulations of law concerning the storing of specific documentation.
4.  Workshops of Culture have selected a Data Protection Supervisor whom you  can contact in matters related to the protection of your personal data and the exercise of your rights via e-mail: iodo@warsztatykultury.pl or in writing to the address of Workshops of Culture in Lublin specified in point 1. Please bear in mind that before your rights are executed, we must identify you appropriately.
5.  You have the right to submit a complaint to a personal data protection supervisory authority when you deem that the processing of your personal data breaches GDPR regulations.  
6.  Workshops of Culture in Lublin do not transfer your  personal data outside Poland / EU / European Economic Area.
7.  The Participants have the right to access their personal data and amend it.
8.  Your personal data will not be subject to automated processing, including profiling.
9.  Giving the Organiser of the cultural event your personal data is voluntary but the refusal to provide it will make it impossible to register you for the event.
