Medical Emergencies
Workers with a medical history of diabetes high blood pressure, asthma or cardiac disease are at a higher risk of suffering a medical emergency while on the job.
Workers that suddenly feel unwell due to illness or environmental impacts should stop work and report to first-aid immediately, or notify a co-worker or supervisor to alert help.
Workers should never leave the workspace to rest in an isolated area, leave the worksite to seek medical help or fail to seek emergency help if a medical emergency is developing. In most cases, workers that pass away due to medical issues while at work, die because they went to an isolated area, collapsed and where later found.
