Requirements for Consideration
As student leaders on campus, the following expectations and requirements must be met to be considered for membership:

>Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and be in good disciplinary standing.

> Complete the required semester-long training course prior to facilitating alone (PSYC 382 offered tentatively on Monday evenings from 4:45 pm - 7:45 pm for a 3 hour upper level PSYC credit) .

> Facilitate 6 facilitations per semester once a member.

> Attend weekly organization meetings and additional workshops.

> Have strong oral and written communication skills.

> Exhibit a commitment to diversity.

> Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

> Be timely and professional.

> Be knowledgeable of and familiar with the University of Tennessee's and Office of Multicultural Student Life's mission and goals.

>Help plan and organize, in partnership with MSL Staff, our monthly Diversity Dialogue Series & annual Diversity Dialogue Series

If Selected the Following Will Be Required:
PSYC 382 on Monday evenings in the Fall from 4 pm – 7 pm as a training requirement for ALL new DE members. You will receive a 3 hour psychology credit and do a deep dive on topics surround diversity, inclusion, and social justice. The instructor is Ronni Williams, and there will be a TA(s) for the course from the Psychology Department.

Weekly meetings tentaively for 1 hour on Tuesday evening

Multicultural Student Life’s Leadership Retreat in Spring semester

Diversity Dialogue Symposium, & Diversity Dialogue Series (once per month)

Leadership to the T leadership trainings through the Office of Multicultural Student Life as announced

>Annual Diversity Educator Retreat(s) - held 1-2 times per year and designated with advance notice
