With an emphasis on your ideas, suggestions, and support, our goal is to transform the elementary school into a stunning, modern, and revolutionary space for our children to learn and grow. The interior of the elementary school has not been renovated since 1967, and modernizing the building is the next step in the district’s plans for the campus. In the middle school, we will be looking to replace windows on the backside of the building and throughout the 6th grade wing, and lighting throughout the building that needs to be updated. In December of 2023, we plan to hold a public vote to determine funding for this building project.
The upcoming community forum is the first step in our process to gain community input before the 2023 vote. We have been actively working with our elementary staff. The forum will be held on Nov. 16, 2022, from 5-7:30 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria. The evening will begin with a tour of the elementary school so attendees can see areas that need to be renovated and then move to small group discussions. Dinner will be provided during the conversations. The event will conclude with an opportunity for community leaders to provide ideas and ask questions about the process and project.
