Israel/Palestine poses one of the most critical dilemmas facing the Jewish people today.
Through a series of participatory workshops, Shleimut offers a gentle yet powerful approach for Jewish communities to consider a diversity of approaches to Israel/Palestine, including solidarity and resistance work.

Workshop topics include:
-- Israel: Sacred Mythology, Ancient History, Modern State
-- Healing Jewish Trauma, Addressing Palestinian Liberation
-- Progressive Movement Analysis
-- Councils of Discernment: Letting go of Redlines
-- Lech Lecha: Where do we go from here?

Jews of all backgrounds are welcome. No particular knowledge or expertise in Israel/Palestine is required. Together, we will share our personal experiences and listen to each other with an open heart through a structured yet emergent process.

Led by Shleimut’s founding director, Ilana Sumka brings twenty five years of leadership in organizing, activism and education. The past Jerusalem director of Encounter and founder of the Center for Jewish Nonviolence, Ilana’s facilitation style is grounded in compassionate communication, authentic expression, and embodied wisdom.
