Welcome
to the Woodstork Birding Festival at Crooked River State Park, where
the magic of Georgia's avian wonders comes to life in a celebration of
nature and community!
REGISTRATION FOR SPECIAL ACTIVITIES (BOAT RIDES, KAYAKING, AND ROOKERY TOURS) HAVE CLOSED. YOU ARE WELCOME TO CHECK AT THE REGISTRATION DESK ON THE DAY OF THE FESTIVAL TO SEE IF ANY SLOTS FOR THESE ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE.
IN ADDITION TO THE SPECIAL ACTIVITIES NOTED ABOVE, THE WOODSTORK FESTIVAL OFFERS A DAY OF FUN ACTIVITIES FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY! REGISTRATION ON THIS SITE IS NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL, BUT INVITE YOU TO COMPLETE THE INFORMATION BELOW. YOUR RESPONSES WILL HELP US KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOU AND KEEP YOU INFORMED OF FUTURE EVENTS!
The Camden County Audubon Society invites you to join them in a delightful
day filled with expert-led birding programs, artisanal crafts,
ranger-led kayak paddles and much more. You won't want to miss Georgia Southern University's Center for Wildlife Education's Birds of Prey Raptor Program at noon!
Some of the activities offered at the festival will have limited space available, and while entrance to the festival itself is free except for a $5 Georgia State Parks parking fee, some specific activities include an additional fee. The purpose of this registration form is two-fold:
- It will let us know you are coming so we can be better prepared to provide you with the best possible festival experience.
- It will give you the opportunity to reserve a place in those activities that have limited space available.
IMPORTANT: Registration for these activities alone DOES NOT guarantee you will have a space.
- You will receive a confirmation email from the festival organizers.
- You will be required to pay any extra fees when you check in at registration.
- You must report to the site at the designated time.
By registering in advance for the festival, we will be able to let you know if (and when) you will have access to those activities that you have requested.
EARLY REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 11:59 PM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 10!
The deadline will allow organizers to arrange for activities, and perhaps add more opportunities to the festival schedule if demand warrants it. It will also allow for time to confirm final schedules and notify participants of the status of their activity requests.
ONSITE REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 8:00 AM ON SATURDAY, MARCH 16.
Missing early registration doesn't mean you have to stay home! As you review the schedule for the day, you will see a number of activities that are open to all and have no additional cost. The festival is a wonderful opportunity for families to get outside, enjoy the spring weather, and commune with nature. And when you arrive at the park to register onsite, you will see which limited access events still have space available!
