Drew Lanham about his book "The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man's Love Affair with Nature"; a book recently selected as a Scholarly Book of the Decade by The Chronicle of Higher Education and a Memoir of the Decade by Lit Hub. He'll also read and discuss his collection of poems from "Sparrow Envy" and elsewhere. Drew will reflect on his life as a rural southern black man in love with wildness. He'll also broach how nature's recovery from the sordid history of enslavement has lessons to teach that may be applicable to today's struggles with identity and inequity.
