Volunteer Coordinator Application
Permaculture Association of the Northeast (PAN) is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for the 2020 Northeast Permaculture Convergence, which will take place on July 24-26, 2020 at D Acres Permaculture Farm in Dorchester, NH.

This position is a great opportunity to connect with regional permaculture practitioners and organizers in the region, give back to the wider permaculture community, and receive free admission to this inspring three-day event. In addition to admission to the event (which includes camping/lodging and all meals), we are offering a modest stipend of $300.

We are asking that all applicants are able to make monthly phone calls with the on-site logistics subcommittee to provide updates and be on the same page as the wider organizing group through contact with subcommittee leads. Volunteer Coordinator Job Description

The Volunteer Coordinator supervises volunteers and provides direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions for the Northeast Permaculture Convergence. This includes volunteer duties before, during, and after the event.

Primary Responsibilities include:

- Attend monthly conference calls with the On-Site Logistics Subcommittee
- Attend the convergence from Thursday morning, July 23 to Monday afternoon, July 27
- Manage volunteers before, during, and after the event
- Work closely with subcommittee leads to assess the volunteer needs before, during, and after event
- Collect volunteer information, availability, and skills, and maintain an up-to-date database
- Create a volunteer schedule/calendar
- Develop a packet for volunteers describing where they should meet, when they’re volunteering, etc.
- Handle volunteer communications leading up to the event in a prompt and timely manner
- Recruit volunteers as needed to ensure all volunteer duties are handled
- Create and implement tools to aid in streamlining process
