The Austin/Travis County Leadership Council is now recruiting new voting members! Our intention is to create community-based engagement that prioritizes the voices of those with lived experience of homelessness, includes equity advocates from the community, and fosters collaboration with diverse service providers across our CoC. The estimated time commitment is 2 hours/month for meetings and an additional 2 hours/month for review of relevant documents and materials. Once seated, committees will also nominate their co-chairs; being a co-chair is estimated to add another 2 hours/month of work. The new committees will have a limit of 7-15 voting members, however all community members are invited to attend meetings for discussion and transparency of decision-making.
People with personal lived experience of homelessness and equity advocates representing marginalized communities who are not otherwise paid to be on committees and workgroups will be compensated. Additionally, technology will be available to those who need it. If there are any other barriers to you making this commitment, please get in touch with Maya Beit-Arie at
