General Knowledge about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in Lebanon
You are invited to participate in a research study entitled "General Knowledge about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in Lebanon". This study is conducted by Mr. Ayoub Safwan, a graduate student enrolled in Cardiovascular Pharmacology Master program, at the Faculty of Sciences, Lebanese University, under the supervision of Pr. Mazen Kurdi.  

Please read the following information carefully before deciding whether you want to participate in this study or not.

What is the purpose of this study?
The main objective of this research is to assess the extent of the knowledge of residents in the Lebanese Republic about the sudden cardiac arrest, the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the automated external defibrillator, and spread awareness about the importance of defibrillator presence in public places.

What are the study procedures?
If you agree to participate in this study:
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire containing questions about your knowledge regarding sudden cardiac arrest, and the necessary first aid procedures in emergency situations using automated external defibrillator. This questionnaire will take between 10 and 15 minutes to be completed.

What are the potential risks of participating in this study?
There are no known risks for your participation in this study, rather you will benefit from relevant health recommendations and information.

How is your information preserved?
All information in this study is confidential and anonymous. Questionnaire will be anonymously assigned with numbers (without any names).
