Artwork must be follow the theme; What makes you a Super Special Hero. Registration required.
The contest is open to showcase talent of children and adult with special needs. Submissions must be original content created by the contestant.
Children under 18 must have parental permission to enter. An adult may not alter the integrity of a student's work.
Participants must submit original artwork of their own creation on paper not to exceed
8.5 inches by 11 inches on anything heavier than cardstock.
The following visual art mediums are acceptable: painting, drawing, pastel, fiber art, or collage. NO CANVAS PELASE.
Entries must include the artist’s name, phone number, address, artwork title on the back.
Description of work must be included in registration.
Picture or video of artist creating the work must be emailed to myang@parks.lacounty.gov before March 10th.
Use of copyrighted material (images) or trademarks (company names, logos, brands, etc) is prohibited. Plagiarized entries will be disqualified.

Content must comply with all local and national laws of the United States. Content must not:

a) promote illegal behavior

b) support racial, religious, sexual or other invidious prejudice

c) advocate sexual or violent exploitation

d) violate rights established by law or agreements;

e) invade the privacy of any person

f) be otherwise inappropriate as determined by County of Los Angeles in its sole and conclusive determination.

Submissions must be delivered in person at Friendship Park Nature Center between 9 am - 4:30 pm Tues - Sunday. Feb 1st to March 10th

Finalists’ original submissions will be on display till March 25th, 2023. Artwork may be picked up from Nature Center after that date.

Any violation of these rules may, at the discretion of County of Los Angeles, result in disqualification.
