Nominees must be active SWE members in order to be considered. Collegiate members who will be assigned to the section may be candidates for positions other than president or vice president provided they will be members of the section and will qualify for professional membership before the start of the term of office; however, they must meet these requirements in order to serve. To find the SWE member number follow these instructions: When you login to the Member Portal (https://portal.swe.org), your default page is the "My Info" page and the first item under the "Member Information" header is your SWE ID.

Nominees can be nominated for multiple positions and can hold multiple positions, except President and Treasurer, provided there are at least three officers. Note: The President and Vice President must also be non-collegiate members of the society.

Please include a biography statement of 300 words or less in 3rd person: highlighting the nominee's background (~10%), why the nominee is appropriate for the office (e.g. SWE experience, leadership characteristics or experience, etc) (~50%) and how they may leverage their experience in the role (~40%), which will be provided to our membership on the ballot.
