Youth going into 7th grade - college age are needed to help with VBS in various ways before, during, and after the event. Please see options for volunteer positions in this form after completing your contact info.

When: Monday, June 20- Thursday, June 23, 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. daily (One more day will be added if enough adult teachers)
+Designated Pre-VBS work days are Tuesdays, 1:30-5 and Thursdays, 10 a.m. -1:00 p.m. in the FLC, and for those who want to decorate rooms and organize materials, June 13-17, 10-5. (Please contact Mary Catherine at 601-927-2878 before coming.)

How to volunteer:
1. Complete the form below and submit by June 1. Please make sure you indicate your best email address to receive updated info. Watch for updates through Focknote emails and in the bulletin.

2. Attend one brief required training meeting either Thursday, June 2, 12:00-12:30 p.m.. or on Wednesday, June June 8, 5:30-6 p.m. in the Family Life Center lounge.

3. Check in at 8:30 a.m. daily in the FLC (VBS starts at 9 a.m.). Some youth volunteers are also needed at 8:00 a.m. daily to help supervise and check in children arriving early.

4. Please follow the current / updated CDC and Diocesan safety protocols and guidelines at that time and all other safety guidelines while working with children.

5. Please come prepared to do your best to help in anyway you can.

Youth Assistant for teacher and children (setting up, cleaning up, assisting with activities, supervision, etc.))

Assistant Music / program leader / leading hand motions to songs (VBS music CD, downloads, and videos are available)

Skit team member (practicing for and presenting skits daily)

Babysitter for teachers' children who are 3 and under

Preparing, creating, organizing lesson and craft / project materials at home before VBS

Decorating and setting up before VBS (beginning 6/ 2 & other days posted in FN & bulletin)

Running audiovisuals and technology during VBS, especially for morning assemblies and closing

Preparing Powerpoint / slide shows / closing slide show/ videos

Running errands, assisting VBS coordinators with various tasks (must have drivers license and parent's approval)
