CPEP Regional Workshop Registration
The New York State Family Planning Training Center is hosting regional, in-person workshops focused on Community Participation, Community Education, and Project Promotion (CPEP).

Why participate? During the workshop, participants will:
- Review NYSDOH Expectations for CPEP, including evaluating CPEP activities
- Discuss strategies for conducting needs assessments to inform CPEP activities
- Discuss strategies for conducting outreach to partners and enhancing in-reach to clients
- Engage in several opportunities to discuss existing and promising CPEP approaches used by FPP agencies
- Begin to develop a CPEP Plan including at least one outreach and/or in-reach activity

Who should attend:  At least two FPP staff with needs assessment, outreach, in-reach, and evaluation responsibilities, specifically family planning program managers and administrators, health educators, and/or evaluators. We encourage FPP staff to send a team of at least two individuals to this training. FPP providers will find that cross-disciplinary team participation is essential to improving CPEP. Thus, teams that have cross-disciplinary representation will get the most out of their participation in this workshop. Individuals and agencies that participated in the CPEP Peer Learning Group hosted by the New York Family Planning Training Center will benefit from and are expected to attend one in-person workshop.

When and where are the workshops? The same workshop is being hosted in three locations throughout the state to facilitate access. Teams should register for one workshop only. All workshops will be held from 9:00am-4:00pm (registration 8:30 am). The workshop locations are:

- September 17 - Syracuse - Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Ctr., 801 University Ave., Syracuse, NY
- September 18 - Buffalo - Millennium Buffalo, 2040 Walden Ave., Buffalo, NY
- September 20 - NYC - CUNY Law School, 2 Court Square, Long Island City, NY
