Thank you for applying for the Mike Walter Memorial Scholarship.  Coach Mike Walter was a part of the Beaver Football staff for four years and a science teacher at Moon Middle School for five years.  Coach Walter had a great passion for education and all things related to sports.  Mike passed away in a tragic car accident in December 2011.  

This scholarship is to honor the memory and life of Coach Mike Walter.  Mike strongly believed that good students were left behind due to a lack of scholarships that focused on the individual as a whole, rather than just their academics.  It is for this reason a scholarship has been created in Mike's name.  

A need-based, $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a college-bound student who has demonstrated a good work ethic while participating in school, sports, and the community.

Eligibility:  A student athlete with a GPA of 2.5 or above planning to attend a two or four year accredited institution.
