We know that in Wiltshire, and indeed across the UK, the voluntary and community sector is a key partner working with communities, particularly in supporting our most vulnerable citizens.  The State of the Sector Survey provides Wessex Community Action with comprehensive data and information about the health of Wiltshire’s voluntary and community sector organisations and enables Wessex Community Action to share the challenges faced by the sector with statutory organisations and key stakeholders.

Our previous “Covid-19 Impact Surveys” revealed the pandemic’s impact in terms of reduced income and volunteer numbers and increased demand for services, and was shared in meetings with key stakeholders including the Bank of England and Wiltshire Council.  This years' survey will be of particular benefit in informing members of the Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire Integrated Care System about the sector, as well as helping shape the services and support available to VCSE sector partners.    

The effectiveness of the survey relies on your response and we’d like to hear from a wide cross-section of VCSE organisations - from small grass-roots organisations working in local communities with no (or few) paid staff to the large county wide charities.  The Survey will take around 15-20 minutes of your time to complete.  Please complete the survey by Friday 27th May

For the few organsiations that work across Wiltshire and Swindon, you may receive a similar survey from Voluntary Action Swindon.  If you only want to complete one survey please let us know which one you complete and provide us with permission to share information between the two CVS’s via email to info@vas-swindon.org or info@wessexcommunityaction.org.uk
