Youth Leader Application
The youth leader position is one that serves under the directives of and is supported by the Youth Director. This is a volunteer position that is committed to being there every Wednesday night and Sunday morning to offer love and stability to our teens, creating a safe space for them to be seen. This space is exclusively for our teens, no exceptions (i.e. parents, younger siblings, ect.). It is a closed group so that our teens may let go and be served well.  The youth leader position is one that facilitates and encourages authenticity and spiritual growth whenever possible amongst our teens.

The youth leader position is one that facilitates spiritual growth and activates a love of God in our teens. This is done through cognitive knowledge and personal conviction. Each youth leader is held to a higher standard when it comes to their own spiritual commitments to follow Christ in their own lives.

Expectations & Agreements
The following section is to inform the applicant (that's you!) about the expectations required for each Youth Leader. Please read over each statement carefully and respond accordingly.
TIME COMMITMENT: Wednesday Evenings (5:30-7:30pm) and Sunday mornings (9:30-10:15) are a mandatory commitment as a youth leader. Other mandatory meetings include regular leadership meetings (TBD based on everyone's availability). *

Lifestyle Contract: By saying yes to being a Youth Leader, a person is not only influencing students through their words and behaviors at church, but also through how they live their life as a whole. Students are watching for authentic living and it is important to lead by example. Leaders and the Youth Director hold each other accountable to this standard. *
Code of Ethics: There is a higher standard for Youth Leaders when present at church events of any kind. Due to the nature of being a leader there are strict expectations for behaviors that both enhance the youth community and protect the youth leader. Safety and mindfulness is of high importance within the church and protecting each youth leader is the most important concern for the youth director! *
Safety Training Requirements & Other Documents that will be required to be a volunteer with the youth. These are mandated both by First Church as well as the State of California to work with minors.

- Drivers Waiver: A singed waiver to agree to driving students to and from events
- Medical waiver: a medical release from for off-campus events
