Southern Illinois Food Security Summit
More than 45,000 southern Illinoisans struggle with having enough food to eat and rely on local food pantries, summer meal programs, senior meal sites, and other programs to meet their food needs. This Summit will increase communication and collaboration among southern Illinois business, schools, healthcare, farmers, religious and community organizations, and community members to address food insecurity in the lower 16 counties of Illinois.
Using the Illinois Commission to End Hunger’s Roadmap to End Hunger in Illinois – participants will work to develop a regional vision to support food access and food security in the lower 16 counties of Illinois.
This conference requires registration and a fee of $15.00 per person. The fee covers conference expenses and a box lunch.
