The Gender Affirmation Project is a collaboration between
Trans-ilience: The Transgender Stress and Resilience Research Team, the MSU Triangle Bar Association, and the
Allen Neighborhood Center. We provide logistical and/or financial support (while funding available) for transgender and nonbinary people looking to legally change their name and/or update their gender marker.
The following questions will help us learn more about you and your needs, so that we can prepare in advance to assist you with these processes. If you have any questions about the program or the form, you can contact us at genderaffirmation@gmail.com.
Currently, eligibility for the program is as follows:
- identify as trans or nonbinary in some way
- ages 18 or up
- live in Ingham, Eaton, or Clinton county
- for those seeking financial assistance – self-reported financial need
